• Middle schools demonstrated the most significant point gains, reflecting strong growth in student achievement, standards-based instructional strategies, and student engagement.
• High schools continue to excel in on-time graduation and future-readiness, supported by increased participation in dual enrollment and industry certifications. • Elementary schools showed improvement in SC Ready ELA and Math proficiency. Still, they experienced small dips in student progress, indicating opportunities to intensify support for the lowest-performing learners and reinforce foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
Next Steps
SDNC will use the 2025 data to refine instructional practices, strengthen Tier 1 instruction, and strategically align resources to student needs:
• Accelerate focus on regular school attendance to maximize instructional time and optimize effective classroom learning.
• Reinforce early literacy and numeracy foundations through targeted interventions, progress monitoring, and high-quality instructional materials implemented with fidelity.
• Ensure consistent curriculum implementation and common assessments to monitor progress, guide professional learning, and promote instructional coherence across schools.
• Strengthen MTSS and i-Ready data review cycles to sustain growth across all grade levels, providing intensified supports for the lowest-performing students.
• Reinforce future-ready pathways through partnerships with Piedmont Technical College, the Newberry County Career Center, local industries, and regional workforce initiatives.
• Deepen professional learning and coaching to enhance teacher expertise in data-driven instruction, curriculum alignment, and evidence-based instructional routines.
Leadership Statement:
“These results affirm the dedication and hard work of our teachers, students, and families. We are encouraged by the steady growth across schools and remain focused on strengthening learning that prepares students for lifelong success.”
