On Saturday, February 26th the Mid-Carolina High School Archery Team competed in the SC NASP Qualifying tournament at Pelion High School. Mid-Carolina High finished with a score of 2959. Lead shooters for the boys were Cole Graham, Brady Moates, and Ben Anderson. Abbi Livingston led the girls, followed by Kassidy Harrison and Dianna Moore. The team also competed in the IBO 3D tournament with top shooters for the Rebel boy archers being Travis Beard, Cole Graham, and Brady Moates. Top girls for the Rebels at the 3 D range were Abbi Livingston, Dianna Moore, and Ariel Kennedy. These guys and girls accumulated a score of 1439. Other archers competing in the tournament were Kyle Fulmer, Andrew Kennedy, Carson Cockrell, Tripp Forbis, Kayley Minick, Tyler Buckley and TJ Beard. The team now waits to see if their efforts were good enough to qualify for the State Tournament which will be held March 30th in Sumter. Coach Jason Long would like to extend many thanks to the parents of these archers for allowing them to practice and participate in the sport of archery.
