Summer Reading for Semester 2-Due Jan. 13

Hello Rebels!  As next semester approaches, we would like to remind everyone who is moving into an English class that it is not too late to complete your Summer Reading.  It is due on January 13, 2022.  For honors students, this is a district requirement, and an in-class essay will be given on that day.  All others are encouraged to complete a summer reading activity.  The links below will provide you with all required details concerning the Summer Reading Program for the 2021-2022 school year.

If you are enrolled in Middle College courses, the High School Summer Reading Program is not applicable to you. Any summer reading requirements will come directly from your professor at Piedmont Technical College.

If you are enrolled in AP courses, the High School Summer Reading Program is not applicable to you. You will complete a summer reading requirement; however, the assignment will come directly from your AP teacher.  


The MCHS High School Summer Reading Program is for CP and Honor students only.

Students should contact their teacher if they have questions regarding the Summer Reading Program. 

Students, as you complete the Summer Reading Program, it is imperative that you take notes, ask questions, make connections, and complete all assigned activities and tasks for your appropriate course. Most importantly, do not forget to have fun as you dive into a new book!   

Again, the Summer Reading Program is mandatory for all Honor students. However, all students are encouraged to the participate in the Summer Reading Program. We look forward to seeing you soon next year.
