Mid-Carolina High School

Applicants are required to submit a one-page, typed personal narrative explaining their reasons for applying, including their awards, interests, and academic aspirations. Based on my experience serving on the selection committee, I strongly recommend involving our English teachers to assist students with drafting and proofreading their narratives. In past years, students have missed out on these opportunities due to minor errors in their submissions.

• Unified Application Process: This is a single, combined application process. 

• SCATA Scholarships: The South Carolina Association of Title I Administrators will award 18 non-renewable scholarships across seven regions (three per region). Award amounts are $2,000 for first place, $1,500 for second place, and $1,000 for third place.

• NAFEPA Scholarships: Four non-renewable scholarships will be awarded, valued at $2,500 per year for two consecutive years ($5,000 total). Two are reserved for students pursuing degrees in education, and two are open to applicants pursuing any field of study

• Deadline: Please submit all applications to me no later than December 11, 2026.

• Requirement: Please ensure that we have at least one representative from each high school.
