ACT Information:
The ACT School Day Test will be given at no cost on Tuesday, February 27 to Junior (3rd year of high school) students that signed up to take the ACT. The test will be administered during the school day. If your student is taking the ACT, it will be given on February 27, 2024. Testing will begin promptly at 8:00 am. Please make sure your child gets adequate sleep, has a good breakfast, and arrives promptly on testing day to ensure a successful testing experience. Rosters and testing locations will be posted around the building prior to February 27 to inform students of their testing location. If your child normally reports to the Newberry County Career Center or Piedmont Tech on that morning, he or she will report to the high school for testing on February 27. ***STUDENTS INTERESTED IN PURSUING EARLY GRADUATION, EARLY DISMISSIAL, OR LATE ARRIVAL MUST BE ON TRACK TO MEET ALL ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS AND BE COLLEGE OR CAREER READY. Please keep in mind a score of 20 or higher on the ACT will allow your student to become "college-ready" which meets district requirements for receiving late arrival and senior dismissal their senior year in high school.
