ACT & SAT Info for 3rd Year Students

Greetings All Third-year Parents and Students,   

All third-year students will be granted the opportunity to take the ACT or SAT at no cost to the student during the Spring. The ACT will be administered on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, and the SAT will be administered on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 during the school day. Parents, please fill out the attached google form to select which college entrance assessment you prefer for your child to take. All google forms are due by Tuesday, November 24, 2020.

College Entrance Assessment Choice for 3rd-year students Dear Parents and Guardians, Per South Carolina law, students in their third-year of high school have the option to take a free college entrance exam. Students can choose between the ACT and SAT. The testing is being funded by the State, so there is no cost to you. The tests will be administered during the school day. If a student with an IEP or 504 wishes to take the ACT or SAT with accommodations, please contact Mrs. Lyles @ tglyles@newberry.k12.sc.us for an accommodations request form. Students, please fill out this google form with your parents. All forms must be completed and submitted by Tuesday, November 24, 2020. If you have issues accessing this form, please feel free to email Mrs. Lyles with the parent's name, the student's name, and your choice of either the ACT/SAT. Hybrid students, if you received a hard copy of the attached google form from your teachers, you will only need to fill out the College Entrance Assessments form once. If you prefer filling out the hard copy, please ensure all forms are returned to Mrs. Lyles by the Tuesday, November 24th deadline. If any student fails to complete the College Entrance Assessments form, then the child will automatically be signed up for the ACT on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.
