Nov. 14 is America Recycles Day!

Our bottle competition is officially starting TODAY and will run until Friday 11/22 when I will announce the winning class! Next to the library in the cafeteria there are 4 bins- Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors... students are encouraged to drop their EMPTY plastic bottles into their class bin to see who fills the bin up the most times! The winning class will get a prize at lunch!

**there are really no rules to this competition besides NO TAKING BOTTLES OUT OF ANOTHER CLASS BIN... but students can collect them in teachers rooms if they want, or bring them from home!**

Teachers- I HIGHLY encourage you in your rooms to start recycling plastic bottles ONLY... I have PLENTY of blue recycling bins that I can give you to collect them, and can even help in getting them collected and hauled off. EMPTY PLASTIC BOTTLES ONLY with the caps ON! No paper or anything else!

ALSO- the Trex Plastic Bag/Film Challenge is beginning on Friday 11/14 and the 3 collection bins are set up outside my classroom, in the front office, and in the library! I have also put a magnet in everyone's box to hang on your board (or fridge at home) to remind you to bring in your plastic bags to recycle them!

Thank you SO much for your efforts in helping save our planet, and ultimately ourselves, from our single use plastic pollution! Every little bit counts! ♻️🌏👍
